Law Resources at the University of Ulster

Launched in December 2006 the Statute Law Database is the most comprehensive free source of revised UK legislation from 1267 onwards. It also covers all the devolved Parliaments and Assemblies.

This has a very comprehensive HELP section which explains how to use the database as well as explaining such difficulties as how NI legislation fits into the UK context.

This site provides access to unrevised, i.e. 'as enacted' legislation as follows:

• Public General Acts 1988 - 
• Local Acts 1991-
• Statutory Instruments 1987-
• NI Statutes and Orders in Council 1987-
• Northern Ireland Statutory Rules 1991-

Should you require 'as enacted' legislation earlier than this, the best source would be the Library database JUSTIS which contains UK statutes 1260-
