Service Description

Each Campus of the University has a Library to support teaching, research and learning on that campus. These facilities house our library collections, provide a borrowing and information/help desk service, provide access to students PCs, and offer a range of study environments. During normal opening hours, properly trained staff will be available to offer support in all areas of services available within the library. The student computing areas of some of our libraries are open on a 24 hour basis, but no additional services or staff will be available.

Libraries provide support (library staff), resources (books etc.), facilities, (PCs, printers, photocopiers) and study space in one location that is specifically designed for users who wish to study and complete their academic work. The service is available at all times within the libraries during library opening hours.

Users can use our libraries within the advertised opening hours. The student computing areas of some of our libraries are open on a 24 hour basis, but no additional services of staff will be available.

Who can avail of the service?

Ulster University students and staff, with lesser degrees of access for other fully registered borrowers and members of the public. Anyone can visit our libraries and browse our collections. Access to most other services is available to fully registered Ulster University students and staff
