Service Description

One of the main services the library provides is the provision of physical media - mainly books and journals, but also DVDs, slides, music etc - in order to support the teaching, study and research carried out in the Ulster University. This also includes many special collections within our libraries. Our responsibility includes the acquisition of materials in accordance with the Ulster Library Collections and Information Access Policy. We then make the items available by organising their location within our libraries using recognised classification schemes and providing the details of each item on a searchable catalogue.

Who can avail of the service?

Ulster University students and staff, with lesser degrees of access for other fully registered borrowers and members of the public. Anyone can visit our libraries and browse our open collections. Access to some specialised or valuable items may be limited to students and staff only.
