International Studies Encyclopedia [26/05/10]
The 12 volume International Studies Encyclopedia has recently been added to Magee L. R. C. stock. The publisher describes this as “the most comprehensive reference work of its kind for the fields of international studies and international relations”. It has over 400 peer reviewed essays of up to 10,000 words focusing on the most important topics and issues.
The encyclopedia is aimed at students, scholars, and practitioners and should be of particular interest to students of international politics, modern history and American studies.

Dictionary of Irish Biography [09/03/10]
The online version of the Dictionary of Irish Biography (DIB) is now available. To access the database, logon to the Portal, choose the Learning Resources tab and then choose the letter D under Library Databases A-Z. Click on the DIB link.
The printed version of the DIB is held in Magee Learning Resource Centre.

Film Studies Subject Guide [07/01/10]
A new Film Studies guide is now available at url: http://library.ulster.ac.uk/arts/filmstudies/
This brings together resources for the study of film, such as databases, electronic journals, newspapers and selected internet resources. There is also a section on finding film reviews, both online and in print.
